Weekend
I didn’t take a lot of photos this weekend, however, I did manage to get a couple that I think may be worth posting. Friday afternoon at my sons soccer practice, I was able to get decent shot of a killdeer. The strange thing about this, is there are no lakes or ponds near this school that I know of. The only times I’ve ever seen killdeer before, is usually on beaches or near ponds and lakes. Needless to say, I’ll be taking my camera with me to future practices to try to get some better shots of these killdeer.
Yesterday, my wife called me outside to film something I hadn’t expected. Several months ago, we had shredded up a bunch of tree branches. This huge pile of wood chips remains on the side of my house, since I haven’t found a use for them yet. Well a family of rabbits did find a use for them and have made it their new home. There were about 4 or 5 babies that had come out of the side of the wood chip pile and were all snuggling together. I snapped off a few frames and then ran inside the house to grab my tripod, since I had low light conditions. By the time I returned, the babies had gone back inside of the wood chip pile and never came back out again.
I hope to prep the new photos tonight, resize them and post them to the site. Look for the links to these in the news later tonight.
