Print Order Delay

Filed under: News — Ken @ 12:54 pm

I will be on vacation starting tomorrow morning. My family and I will be heading out to Disneyland for the rest of the week. So, the normal time for processing print orders will obviously be delayed during this time. If you purchase a print, I will receive the order when I return and will begin processing orders on Monday, February 27th. Receipt of your print order should be within 5 to 7 days from that point (for USA orders only). Outside the USA, approximately 14 days will still apply. If you’d like to follow up with a message to ensure I did receive the order (none of the orders has ever failed to make it to me), you may do so using the contact form. I will reply when I return.

The archived messages in this blog/news will be bombarded with spam messages and will have links to other sites (spam) within the comments while I am away. Please do not click on the links, as I can’t be held responsible for any content they may bring you. To put this into perspective, in the last 13 hours, this blog has had 630 spam messages injected into it by spam robots/spiders. I’m hoping that the developers will have this fixed very SOON before I lose all my hair.

Canon’s 20D replacement camera

Filed under: Fun Stuff — Ken @ 8:55 pm

Canon is releasing their next model to replace the ever popular 20D camera. With all these options, I don’t think this will be for prosumers. You’ll definitely have to be a pro to operate it. Just check out all the cool neat features on it. I want one!

One Giant Step for Verdin kind

Filed under: News — Ken @ 10:23 pm

I’m slowly recouperating from my appendectomy surgery. Since I’ve been able to move around a little better today, I thought I’d have a crack at taking a few shots of the woodpeckers that have been feeding on the orange I put out yesterday.

Unfortunately, they decided they wouldn’t come around while I was waiting. The verdin didn’t care however. Not that I was trying to get another shot of one of my favorite photos, nor do I think this is an excellent photo by any means, I thought this was at least worth sharing in the news.

Verdin

The Verdin had just flew in and was taking a step up to get on to the orange when I took this. It really puts it into perspective, just how small these birds really are.

Spam

Filed under: News — Ken @ 1:05 pm

I apologize for all the spam that’s been in the news here for the past few days. I went into the hospital Tuesday evening and ended up having my appendix removed. When I got out, there was something like 1400+ spam comments. I’ve been pretty doped up since I’ve been out of the hospital, but when I can manage, I’ve been removing the spam as fast as I can.

I’m also heading to Disneyland later this month, so expect more spam to build up when I’m gone for the five day period. Just don’t click on the comment links and you’ll be fine. I’m going to try to remove them from my cell phone when I’m away, but with as much spam that comes in on a daily basis (200-500 messages a day), I seriously doubt I’m going to be very affective from a cell phone browser. It’ll probably take me an hour per day.

bblog is supposedly working a fix for this, but it’s still in the works. So until then, I have to tackle the spiders that are leaving these links/comments, one day at a time. Just have patience and refrain from clicking the links in the comments.

Thanks!
