I’m slowly recouperating from my appendectomy surgery. Since I’ve been able to move around a little better today, I thought I’d have a crack at taking a few shots of the woodpeckers that have been feeding on the orange I put out yesterday.

Unfortunately, they decided they wouldn’t come around while I was waiting. The verdin didn’t care however. Not that I was trying to get another shot of one of my favorite photos, nor do I think this is an excellent photo by any means, I thought this was at least worth sharing in the news.

Verdin

The Verdin had just flew in and was taking a step up to get on to the orange when I took this. It really puts it into perspective, just how small these birds really are.
