Hummingbirds are probably my favorite birds of all time. Not just because they are unique and are the only birds that can fly forwards and backwards, but because they are just the neatest of all the birds. They aren't really afraid of people, or anything else for that matter. They know they're fast and will allow you to get within a foot or two of them.
I've been trying to get a decent photo of hummers for over a year now and I'm finally glad I bagged this photo. I really love the clarity in this one. A big thanks goes to my new Canon 100-400mm IS lens. Without it, I quite possibly might have missed this shot.
