I had taken several other photos as we walked around the lake. None of them really came out spectacular, since I was shooting into the setting sun. We packed up after only a few short hours stay at the lake and started towards our campground. Just a few miles down the road, the trees opened up on the left side near the lake and this scene just screamed at me to stop. We still had to get to our campground, but I couldn't resist stopping for this. Had I had more time, I would have loved to waited for the entire sunset. That is, until I was outside setting up the tripod. That's when it first dawned on me that we forgot to bring mosquito repellent.
The mosquito's were horrible! Just a minute after stepping out of the vehicle, there were hoards of them coming out of the woods. In just a couple of minutes time, literally, I couldn't take it any longer and had to quickly pack it all up and get as far away from these nasty insects. It was already too late as I'd find out the next morning that they had bit me 7 times on one leg and 5 on the other. Looking back on the whole experience, this scene was worth every bite.

Could it be that you've just been anxiously waiting for a photo of your lake, Jennifer? :-)

As much as I do love a lake that is named after me...I am waiting to see some pics from the mosquito infested Yellowstore National Park :-)

Since I am currently moving servers, I am waiting for everything to settle, so that I don't have to keep importing databases. Looks like it's almost over on the new server, so new photos should be coming as soon as I resolve some issues.
