On our way out of Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming, we came around this bend in the road and the scenery just opened up. Within a few seconds, we realized that there were several people standing on the side of the road, which was odd since there weren't any hot springs around. Once we got closer, we noticed around five buffalo just grazing off of the main road in this grassy field. It was just a fluke that we happened upon them, as our navigation system in our vehicle had us go out the North entrance of Yellowstone instead of the East entrance. Nonetheless, it was worth stopping for twenty minutes to capture several shots of them. At one point, one of the buffalo came within 15 feet of me and my son. My son was a little afraid but I managed to capture a photo of him in front of the buffalo, since they were more interested in grazing than all the people that were watching and the long line of cars that had built up along the road to see what all the fuss was about.
