In September, I was able to get out and take some shots of some butterflies. Even though it was baking hot, in the shade, I came away with several keeper shots worth sharing on Dobson Central. This is one of several photos that I captured and will be sharing more over the next few weeks. I would have preferred if the butterfly was turned the opposite way, but I'm happy to get what I get with butterflies, since they rarely stay on one spot long enough to compose a nice shot. Despite my opinion on the direction the Queen is facing, I'd be happy to hear your thoughts.

Thanks. I captured this, and the next several butterfly photos coming up over the next few weeks at the Desert Museum.
