When in "Macro Mode", you tend to see common things that you typically walk on by. This is a prime example. You see it, but you don't see it. I've never noticed that they have "Electric" plates such as this.
This photo was part of a "macro lens" photo project I assigned to myself for the month of December (31 photos in all). I wanted to do something to spur some creativity, and get me to try something completely different that would get me out of my comfort zone. My mom also decided to partake in this assignment on her web site.

Great shot! We've got so many of those engraved/embedded company names, dates, etc... in Chicago. I'm going to start looking more closely!
