Trying to capture unique, close up macro shots of odd or strange things is definitely hard to do for an entire month of photos in basically three days time. In most of Arizona however, you can turn to a cactus for some odd looks, which is why the next couple of photos will feature cacti. If anyone knows the name of this particular cactus, please let me know.
This photo was part of a "macro lens" photo project I assigned to myself for the month of December (31 photos in all). I wanted to do something to spur some creativity, and get me to try something completely different that would get me out of my comfort zone. My mom also decided to partake in this assignment on her web site.
