I've seen countless saguaros and numerous odd shaped arms on them, however when in "macro mode", you tend to look closer than you are used to. It wasn't until I started looking more closely of something I see all over the place in Tucson, that I spotted this unique look to the common Saguaro.
This photo was part of a "macro lens" photo project I assigned to myself for the month of December (31 photos in all). I wanted to do something to spur some creativity, and get me to try something completely different that would get me out of my comfort zone. My mom also decided to partake in this assignment on her web site.
