While out shooting the foggy morning at El Conquistador golf course, this heron was out gathering food at the little man made pond. At one point, it walked up to about 8 feet away from me. I struggled to get my lens changed as quickly as possible without scaring him off, but I was too slow. Fortunately, he didn't get out of range of the 400mm lens and I was able to snap off a few shots of him while he waited patiently for other small fish to swim by.
