After the sun had gone down, we waited in the cold and exposed for the colors that weren't visible to the naked eye. Upon seeing the blue twilight appearing in my exposures, I decided to try to compose a shot with the moon in the photo. With the moon so high in the sky and due to my tripod head not staying still on its side, this was no easy task. (I really need to get a new tripod head that is easier to switch from landscape to portrait.) Still, the final result of this made it worth the pain and suffering I went through balancing the head and not moving my hands and body for what seemed like an eternity to get this shot. After several attempts, I finally captured what you see before you.
