This was one very, very, very cold morning in Monument Valley. I had not been this cold since I lived in Michigan or when I was in the sea of Japan during the winter. I stood outside as long as I could, which was about 10 minutes at a time. I'd capture as many photos as I could before jumping back in the vehicle to get warm. It was so cold, my hands and face hurt like they had been beaten. All due to the the cold wind that was coming up from the valley below. All in all, my experience of this sunrise was worth the pain and suffering. Next time, I'll bring gloves if I'm ever there during the winter.
I have scoured the web looking for the name of the butte that is off in the distance without any luck. If anyone is familiar with this area and can identify this butte, please leave a comment.

This is a place I have to visit before I die and you make me see that.

Thanks, Monica. It's definitely a trip worth taking. It was breathtaking, and not just due to the cold weather. I find myself wanting to go back there again, and it hasn't even been a year yet.
