When we first arrived to take photos of the Monument Valley sunrise at 6:30 in the morning, the clouds had come rolling in and blanketed the entire area. The valley was completely covered in clouds and I got a little worried that we might be in for some bad weather and would never get to see the beautiful landscapes that we had driven 8 hours to see. Fortunately, when the sun started coming up (and the very cold winds), the clouds quickly dissipated. A few low flying clouds remained around the buttes and mesas, making shots like this possible.
