I was pleasantly surprised to find that I haven't captured a shot of the Harris Hawk before this one. I need to see if I can expand on my library of the Harris Hawk some more. I know I can get a better shot than this if given the opportunity again. I see them semi-often in my own neighborhood during the summer, and in most cases I'm usually swimming without my camera.

Outstanding photo, Ken! Congrats!
Was this shot in the wild?

John, no this was not exactly in the wild. It was taken during a raptor free flight at the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum that they have out there. They let the birds fly around which is really cool from a photography stand point. I find it very challenging, which is why I enjoy trying it so much.
