I was so frustrated with taking photos of this elf owl. I had my macro lens on at the time and no matter where I positioned myself to get a close up shot of him, he'd inevitably turn his head and look the opposite way. After minutes in uncomfortable positions, I'd change my position and guess what? He'd start looking the opposite direction. I don't think he was camera shy, but more ornery than anything else. The other problem I ran into was the wind kept blowing his feathers around, hence the odd looking focus on this photo. Such is life with photography I suppose.
