Bobcats are quite common in Arizona, but seeing them is another story. They are usually only active early in the morning or late in the evening. Any other time, they are typically sleeping in some shaded area. I've been blessed with having several bobcats coming into my backyard, drinking from my pool, or climbing up on my house to sit in the shade of the morning sun. It was almost a daily event every morning I was leaving for work. Common enough for me to start looking forward to seeing her each morning. Unfortunately, the last time I saw our bobcat was almost a year ago, when she came into my back yard with her kittens (who weren't much smaller than she was). She hasn't shown up this year yet, but I keep hoping as they really are beautiful cats and are fun to watch. I think our 11 month old Rottweiler, Rowdy, may have words with her if she does come back however. Hopefully without incident to either of them.
