Whenever I can get a chance to do some night photography, I'm all over it. Exposing for light at night has always been a favorite of mine and it's super fun. It seems these days though, I haven't had much time for photography of any sort. Plus, the heat in Tucson has been miserable this summer.
As for this photo, I had just finished shooting a classic car show in town. (The show wasn't as large as I thought it was going to be, but that's another story). As I was packing up all my gear into my truck, I spotted this sign in the same parking lot. You know the old saying, turn around when you are shooting photography and you'll usually find something better to shoot? That was the case here. All evening long, this sign was at my back. It wasn't until I turned around to get into my truck that I really took notice. Honestly, the neon light was beckoning me to not drive away. :-) So, I unpacked and took a few shots and this is what I got. I had to shoot a little high so as not to get any of the cars in the parking lot, otherwise I would have captured more of the wall. My wife doesn't like it, but I do and I obviously kept it. What are your thoughts?
