Our main reason for taking the trip down to Lochiel, Az, was to see the cattle drive and branding. I've never seen either and was particularly interested in trying my hand at some black and white branding photos. Unfortunately, the rains started up as they were bringing the cattle in and the branding was canceled for the day. Seeing the cowboys coming in with 40 cattle was still impressive. Even more impressive, is the cowboy on the far left, who is in his eighties and still bringing them in.
