Even with an extension tube and the 100mm macro, I still wasn't able to get close enough to capture the flower veins as close as I wanted to. Perhaps a microscope will allow me to get the job done properly next time.

Another very nice shot, Ken. I can see the "thrip" inside the flower. I recently have tried twice to order the Canon Extension Tube (Adorama and B&H) to no avail. No choice - have to wait. :( See ya soon.

I was wondering is a little more back light would help you accentuate the veins of this flower? It won't get you any closer - but it might help expose them. Just a thought.
