After being around for one hundred and five years, the inside of the Lochiel school appears to have weathered worse than the outside has. Or, it may just be from vandals that have passed by over the years since the school closed in 1972. Like last week's photo, this image is also an HDR image comprised of three photos, merged together using Photomatix software.
I had a vision of what I wanted to capture for the inside of this building. I knew I wanted to combine three images together, but the trickiest part was getting the perfect depth or focal distance with the lens. I wanted to capture all of the chalk boards, but not at the expense of having everything looking like the room was five hundred feet deep. So, I took a bunch of photos at various focal lengths. While looking through the photos when I arrived home, I had quite a bit of a scare as I was nearing the end of all of my photos from this trip. Every one of them ended up looking like I feared. A room that looked like it was five hundred feet deep. Fortunately for me, the final few images are what I was going after and the end results is what I had envisioned and what you see before you.

My favourite picture. The way you follow your visions sounds like hard work ;-).
