Ninety nine percent of our visit to San Francisco was covered in fog. In addition to the fog, we soon discovered that any trip to Alcatraz had to be booked in advance. My wife was bummed and really wanted to see Alcatraz. So she ended up taking us on a boat tour out in the harbor to see the Golden Gate Bridge (covered in fog), and Alcatraz, which was also, covered in fog. Shocking! Regardless of the fog, the cool weather alone made up for missing all the heat in Arizona and Las Vegas.
