I've been wanting to drive down to the Buenos Aires National Wildlife Refuge near Sasabe, Az for a couple of years now to capture a photo of the masked bobwhite quail. They've been on the endangered species list for many years now. Fortunately, I didn't have to make the trek out that way, since the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum have them in their aviary. I've tried on two occasions now to capture the male, but he never seems to stay in one spot long enough or tends to hide behind objects. This particular female always seems to be the leader between the two of them. Wherever she goes, the male follows (quickly) behind her, usually under cover.
