At 4 am, I started breaking down my gear from taking star trails when another local photographer showed up at the San Xavier Mission. I first met Rhonda several years ago out at the Desert Museum. We've kept in touch via email, but haven't gone out shooting together until this day. We ended up taking more photos of the Mission and I decided to wait around for a little longer to see how the sunrise would look. Just before sunrise, a crescent moon started to rise over the hill with the cross, creating this photo opportunity.
