At the end of this past September, I saw the coolest looking moonset early in the morning. Unfortunately, I was watching it from inside my house and didn't have enough time to grab my camera gear and capture it. The moon just looked abnormally large and quite honestly, I was a little bummed that I missed the shot. The next morning I made it a point to get up early, hoping that the same sized moon would be setting. Sure enough, it was. I grabbed my gear and went up to a high spot in my neighborhood. While this spot is about three quarters of a mile away from me, the moon seemed to be practically falling. By the time I got up to the spot, unpacked my gear and threw on my 400mm lens, the moon had already half-way set. I couldn't believe how fast the moon went down. I was only able to capture two shots before it disappeared behind the Tucson mountains. I had so hoped to have captured the full moon, but in the end, I will settle for what I got right here.If you would like to see a larger version of this, head on over to my Google Plus page and check it out there. If you follow me on G+, I post larger versions of my photos over there, and you'll most likely catch some of my photographs much earlier than you do on my web site here.
