I was able to get a little closer after each photo I took of this cottontail rabbit. Each time I moved, I could only take about two steps before having to stop again for a minute. Each step, the rabbit would perk up like in this photo and get ready to run off. This, unfortunately was my last shot I could take before he finally booked out of here. I thought to myself that maybe I could get down closer to the ground and not appear as threatening to the rabbit. Well my big mistake was moving too fast when getting into a crouched position and I spooked him. If I only had my 100-400mm lens back then.
