Elephant Rock is another site to see that isn't to far from the parking lot. It's about 1/3 of a mile hike to it if you take the trail through the desert. If you've been here before, you'll know that it's shorter and probably a bit easier if you just walk up to the site from the road. We shot this the morning after we captured the cabins the night before. Whenever taking night photos, you should put your settings back to the way you normally shoot. I forgot to do this and captured all sorts of pictures of this site when the sun was coming up. I had the perfect lighting but since I was shooting towards the sun, I was unable to see my focus points. It wasn't until later on that I discovered I still had it set to manual focus. Most of my photos were blurred, as the focus was elsewhere and not where I wanted it. I hate mistakes like that.
