This was a unique plant that caught my eye. Once I took notice, it seemed to come alive into its own when viewed through my macro lens. Calliandra eriophylla, commonly known as Fairy Duster, is a low spreading shrub which is native to deserts and arid grasslands in California, Arizona, New Mexico and Texas and Mexico.
