I am a little behind in sharing photos on DobsonCentral.com web site. I captured this in 2013 from my front yard in Oro Valley, Az. I waited for just the right time for the moon to rise over the Santa Catalina mountains. What I didn't expect is a bunch of clouds to muck up the shot, which is why this photo may appear slightly out of focus. It is just the clouds getting in the way of the clarity of this super moon. I will definitely attempt to try this again. To capture this, I used my 400mm lens, coupled with 2x extender and definitely a tripod, which is always a must at this focal range.
