I have always had a passion for night photography. With Arizona's spectacular monsoon storms, trying to capture lightning was, for the most part, a simple transition for me to photograph. I've come to absolutely love capturing lightning. The hunt and chase for the perfect storm quickly became an obsession when I first started out several years ago. I chased storms for hundreds of miles around Southern Arizona when I first began, however, the price of gas was quite steep at that time and I quickly learned to let the storms come to me after the first couple of monsoon seasons. This particular shot, as with the majority of my lightning captures, was captured in Tucson. This one captured the monsoon storm that visited Tucson and traveled across the Tortolita Mountains, which is North of Tucson. Over the next couple of months, I will be sharing my lightning photos each week.
