For whatever reason, whenever I look at this, I think of the movie War of the Worlds when all that catastrophic lightning started exploding throughout the sky. Each monsoon season I find myself up at the highest point in my neighborhood, which means even closer to the thunderhead clouds above me.  Risky? Probably. Stupid? Most definitely. I just can't get enough of capturing lightning in the two months that it decides to roll through Arizona. I'm thankful I captured this shot without Lord Zeus striking me down with one of his deadly and most impressive bolts of lightning.
