Saint Augustine Cathedral was built back in the 1860's and is still standing strong to this date. Restoration was performed on this church in 1966 and lasted two years. While I was out shooting in downtown Tucson, I ended up parking in front of this cathedral to begin walking. Much to my surprise, others were starting to come into the parking lot and were in fact, attending Sunday mass at the church. Unfortunately, I did not like any of the photos taken straight in front of this church. It wasn't until later on in the morning when I was on top of a parking garage shooting another scene, that I saw this photo and captured it. The color version of this scene, with the sunrise and the light baby blue sky didn't do much for the photo, so I decided on black and white, which, I believe, works perfectly.
