This particular monsoon storm came early in the late afternoon and showed a fairly quick light show over the Santa Catalina Mountains in Tucson. I only managed to capture a couple photos and this was the best of the two. Shooting with this much daylight out, makes capturing lightning more difficult than at night. I don't have a lightning trigger, so I have to take a lot of photos and try to time my shots as best as possible. At night, you can simply adjust your shutter speed and aperture to allow for more light without over exposing your photos. In daylight, you need dark filters which makes it a bit trickier compose your shots.
