I debated about posting this shot, as it came out looking like I Photoshopped the lightning into this scene. I can assure you that I didn't, however. As the storm moved across the valley, I wanted to try and capture the fleeting sunset, along with the heavy intersection below and have some lightning action all in the same shot. I never imagined that I would only capture the big lightning on the right side of my frame and barely any on the left. Had I captured some larger bolts elsewhere in the frame, instead of concentrated in one section, I think this wouldn't look as fake. Still, with the sunset colors and the lightning, I think it makes for an interesting photo.
