No, it's not really a true blue moon, as said to happen when two full moons happen within a given month. It's blue because of an accident on my part. I had been taking indoor night shots of my christmas tree and to get the correct lighting I had to change the white balance to tungusten. Well, I went outside right after this and forgot to change the white balance back. If you ever wondered what shooting the moon would look like using a tungusten white balance, this is it.
Nonetheless, this is probably the best moon shot I have taken so far. I think the blue just adds to the photo. For the photogaphers wondering how this was captured: This was taken with my 100-400mm lens at 400mm with my Canon 2X Extender. So, basically with the 1.6 conversion of the Canon EOS 300D camera, the focal length isn't 800mm, but rather 1280mm.

Thanks. It's simple if you have the hardware. It's all about the glass and how close you can get to your subject. I'd like to have a high powered telescope that attaches to my camera, so that I can capture a great deal more than just the moon some day.
