This particular owl has been hanging around our office location in Tucson for the past week or two. The first time I was told about this, of course, I didn't have my camera gear. It was also too high up to take a decent shot even if I did. A few days later I returned on my day off and spent a good hour and a half waiting for his eyes to open. Apparently this type of owl is common in the Tucson desert, according to a couple people that walked up to me during this photo shoot. Both of the people that I spoke with, live out on the South East side of Tucson, near Vail, Az. Unfortunately, I'm on the opposite side of Tucson and probably why I have never seen one before in Tucson.
