I got a bug in me this weekend to experiment with water. It's something I tried and failed miserably at with the 300D. The 30D has a much faster rate of firing that the 300D ever did and I thought I might get a little play time in on Sunday.
While shooting water drops may seem easy, it's far from it. The exposure was easy, however setting the focus to be at the correct spot and dropping the water into the exact path of where you set the focus at, is probably one of the most difficult things I've done in a while. Still, it's fun to play with and I'll definitely be playing with more of this in the future. The possibilities are some what endless, when you mix in different colored backgrounds and all the various possibilities of the way the water reacts to each drop.

I can't imagine how long it took you to capture this image.

I spent a couple of hours playing around. It was fun and time well spent. I've been thinking about doing this again sometime soon since winter is fast approaching.
