I went to the Tucson Zoo on a field trip for my sons school today. Out of the 51 photos that I took, this is about the only one that made the cut (by my standards). That isn't even the sad part. The sad part is this particular duckling. He and his brother were swimming together right when I went to take their photo. Within seconds, a black crowned night heron swooped in and took off with his little brother. Minutes after I was done taking this photo, I returned and he too was gone. I know, it's the circle of life and all that, but sometimes it's nice to be oblivious of what goes on in nature...
