Devils Tower, Wyoming has been a sacred place of many Indian tribes. Various legends have been told about the origin of Devils Tower. The most common story among 5 different Indian tribes is about some little girls pursued by a giant bear. According to this legend, while these girls were being chased by the giant bear, the girls jumped upon a low rock and prayed to the Great Spirit to save them.
