Every once in a while, I still get amazed at how fast light can change and dramatically change a scene. Last week's photo was the photo I was after, but with photography, you don't just stop after one shot. You continue on and try for an even better shot from the one before. In just 5 minutes time from the Palm Sunrise photo, this is what you get. Whether or not this is better, is subjective. Personally, I prefer last week's photo to this one, but it still doesn't stop me from appreciating how much a scene can become alive if you give it a few minutes.
My mom went out shooting with me on this morning and she captured almost the same identical shot as this one.

The silhouette of the palm trees against the burnishing sky makes a dramatic statement. Good capture at the precise moment.

This version made me gasp a bit, so I guess that means I like this one best. You are right, every nano second that goes by your camera reveals a different picture and when the final picture you see on your camera is the one you saw in your mind while you were composing, it will make you gasp.
