Not knowing when the birds would take flight at Bosque Del Apache, we arrived quite early before the sunrise. After shooting at high ISO speeds, it was a welcome treat when the sun finally started to come up over the horizon. The warm, golden light made the scene just come alive, even if it was for a very brief couple of minutes.

My favorite, its like having every hair in place. This photo shows how magnificent the bird truly is. Then you can't forget the water, the reflection, I want to dunk my feet in.
