This statue is one of many that is a required element for all new non-residential and public development projects in the town of Oro Valley. Most of these works of art, probably don't get noticed all that often, or once the newness wears off, is never looked upon again. It just becomes common place. Regardless, I had seen a picture of this statue on the internet by another Tucson photographer over two years ago and really liked the look of it. The problem was, I had no idea where this thing was until one day, I just happen to glance over in a parking lot and there it was.
Immediately after shooting the Angel in the Outfield photo, I took a drive down to this area on that very same Sunday. There were no vehicles in the parking lot and the clouds were perfect to shoot this HDR image. My only regret is that I didn't have enough of a wide angle lens to shoot this straight on, to show the face and more of the camera. Nonetheless, I'm still happy with the way this turned out.
